The restorative power of silence . . .

So much talking yesterday, too much TV, too many talking heads, too many noisy voices in my head . . . Today sitting quietly, drinking my cup of coffee, drinking in the silence, drinking in the quiet, happy to sit still, happy to be quiet, happy to be still.

What is it about quiet? What is it about stillness? What is it about silence that I find speaks so deeply to my soul?

I have no easy answers to these questions. I have no "answers" at all, I feel. I just know I need this silence, and my soul is drinking in this peace . . .

Perhaps this is the journey of this blog . . . the restorative power of silence . . .
